Deafs in Switzerland |
|
In Switzerland we have about 10'000 deafs and 1'200 deafs in eastern Switzerland. Approximately 50% of the deafs are organized in clubs or associations. The community is very important for the deafs. |

Our club was founded 1996 by a fusion of two clubs. Our club is with approximately 240 members the 2nd greatest deaf association in Switzerland. In Switzerland we've over 40 associations, 7 of its are in eastern Switzerland. |
About us |
Sport |
|
Deafs meet weekly to training in different kinds of sport. The soccer player, volleyball player and bowling player participate also in the championships of the hearings. But there are also national championships in many kinds of sport for the deafs. Our club organizes each year in September the traditional St Gallen tournament for the whole Switzerland. |
Culture |
|
"more education - better integration" was the slogan and an important demand at "the day for the deafs" in 1991 in St Gallen. In eastern Switzerland, a base for fair adult education for deafs is still missing. Today, the education becomes ever more important for the deafs. Our club organized the follow things for our members: |

The spaces in the club room is avaiable for courses, conferences, meeting, chess tournaments, celebrations etc. You can reserve the club room for your group. |
